Tea & Sound is a collaboration between TAURA ceramics and the sounds of Sophie. We are coming together to create a mindful tea ceremony and gong/sound bath.
Vibration is all around us, moving through us. The gong plays frequencies that wash through our bodies, aiding in tension release and opening. You will be immersed in the resonant sounds of a gong from the caves of Calcata, Italy, Koshi chimes, and inspired vocals for a sound experience that brings your nervous system into balance and moves you closer to your center.
A series of tea cups have been handmade by TAURA specially for this event. Before we enter the world of sound, we ground ourselves through a “matchmaking tea cup” exercise. Once you have found the cup that speaks to you, you will be able to take it on your journey with you, the first moment of connection being the ceremonial drinking of tea after the gong/sound bath. The cup that you match with is yours to take home after the session and is included in the ticket price.
